Ballyclare Group Practice

I was constantly ringing for an appointment from 09.00, to be told all appointments were full(automated reply). Finally at 09.16 I was put in a Que. 31 or 32 minutes later my call was cut off. Called back again and back in a Que. At 10.12 automated call that all appointments were gone for the day and to call back at 9.00 the next working day which is Monday. What a joke of a place!!!!!!!
I phoned the Centre at 09.03 on the 4th January 2023 only to be told that the doctors lists were all full for the day and that I'd have to phone back tomorrow. I can't believe that all the working doctors lists were full in three minutes. Why did I phone? my wife has had a very bad cough for the past two weeks resulting in a sore throat and sometimes chest pain due to the amount of coughing. She has used paracetamol for the pain, streptsils to ease the throat and an oromucosal throat spray recommended by the chemist. She is tired, sore, still working and I feel she would need something stronger to ease the throat or possibly and anti-biotic to ease what I think may be an infection, but can I get through to the surgery, not a chance, as already stated, within 3 minutes the lists were full for today, do I believe it - NO.
It would be easier to phone the White House and speak to Joe Biden than to get through to Ballyclare Group Practice. Called a 9am on the dot, 48th in the queue. Eventually got to number 9 in the queue to be told the appointments were full for the day. Why even put me in the queue at that number when there isn't enough space.
Ballyclare has grown substantially over the last number of years yet this practice hasn't grown at all.
I do feel bad for the staff that work there because it's not like they can do anything about it.
Absolute shambles of a place.
I am now on my 3rd week of trying to get through to speak with a doctor on the advice from treatment room nurse. It's only certain days I can phone as I work and no way can I spend 30/40 mins holding on a line whilst I have customers. Today as usual, I was in a queue from just after 9am only to be told at approx 9.32 that lines are now closed. Try again tomorrow. This is absolute shambles of a system and something needs to be done URGENTLY.
For three days in a row I have been trying to get a phone consultation with a doctor. There is always a waiting time for 30 odd minutes on hold and then I'm cut off. trying again I get cut off again after about 30 minutes.
This is a rubbish way of trying to get an appointment, in fact its the worst I've ever known in all my years with my GP. Terrible situation to just wanting to talk to my GP.
